SHPE Phoenix is the Greater Phoenix Professional Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). SHPE National is a non-profit organization comprised of junior (high school) chapters, student (college) chapters, and professional chapters.
Our SHPE National roots stem back to just 5 Latino Engineers in the city of Los Angeles. Over 40 years later, our SHPE Familia now boasts over 10k student and professional members from all walks of life. We encourage you to take a moment to watch this short video by SHPE’s Founding Father, Rodrigo Garcia. We hope that after watching this video, you too are inspired to join our growing Familia of engineers.

Become a SHPE National Member
Membership registration must be completed through the SHPE National website. Feel free to contact us at board@shpephx.org if you have any questions.
Are you a recent grad? Have you claimed your FREE 1-year professional membership? Click here for more info.
- Go to the SHPE Connect website.
- Under “Not a Registered User Yet?” enter your preferred email address.
- Click “Register Now!” and fill out your Personal Information, add your Industry Demographics, and generate a password for your account.
- On your profile screen, you will be prompted to “Become a member Now,” click there and you will be prompted to select your level of membership. You can also access this portal by clicking on the Membership tab on the toolbar.
- Click the shopping cart on the level you want, you will need to pick the region (Region 2), and the Chapter (Phoenix, AZ), agree to the code of ethics, then proceed to checkout.
